SAN DIEGO – A scuba driver who died while diving off the coast of La Jolla late Saturday was identified by the medical examiner's office as Richard Hart, 48.

Hart lived on a boat in the Marriott Marina and was a metal worker. An autopsy is to be conducted Monday or Tuesday.

Hart was found floating several hundred yards from shore after getting separated from his two diving companions in the darkness, authorities said. The trio were diving off South Casa Beach.
