I might have been wrong about the commercial coming in 7 mil but I swear I saw one in Bodega Bay Pro Dive.

I didn't have to add any weight to my recollection.
A 7 mil farmer john with an attached hood would be about the same.
The Picasso 9 mil is a taylored beaver tail with an attached hood which eliminates the extra neoprene around the thighs and there is no vest under two other layers so it equals out.

I didn't have any problem with flexibility. To some people it may seem too much but once I got down there and got into the dive I didn't even notice, I just knew I was warm.
