On my one trip to Kona, I dove with Dive Tek Adventures (they cater to recreational divers as well as tech) and I had a great time.

I was on my own, so they set me up with a local DM, who acted as a private guide for the week, for a very reasonable rate. He showed me a bunch of neat stuff that I would have missed otherwise.

The boat never had more than four other divers on board, so there was lots of room and a very relaxed pace.

Whoever you go with, don't miss the manta night dive -- it's a total riot.
