Should you charge a surcharge? Only charge what it costs you to send back/handle the equipment. As a business your always looking for new customers and much of that is based on reputation-word of mouth. I.e. I bought some of my gear online, some at my LDS. I've referred about 10 people to my LDS for training and gear. They inturn bought alot of gear$$$ and will probably return to the LDS and make refererals themselves. I am a fan of the service and the wetsuit made by Aquaflite. I've referred at least 10 people who ordered suits from them.
On a side note. I've read your posts for a while now and am very impressed with how you think and present yourself. If I lived closer your shop would be my LDS. Never discount good will!! people are always watching. Help these guys out and win thier future business.
