Reservations are generally not needed on weekdays at Pt. Lobos.

I'd recommend Pt. Lobos. The entry is much easier than Monastery.

You can generally just get in at Pt. Lobos on weekdays. There's
a calendar at http://pt-lobos.parks.state.ca.us/scuba/Calender.html
it shows all the weekdays this week are open. Just be there when
the gate opens at 9. Bring your C-card, no C-card, no dive.

Be sure to swim out far enough -- the cove doesn't start to get
interesting until about 40'.

Water temp was 49/50F this past weekend.

Aquarius on Del Monte is where I get my fills.
