Tungsten film is for incandescent light (old fashioned light bulbs
that get hot), specifically photo floods, which run a bit hotter
(very short life) than regular SoftWhite and such. If you shoot
tungsten film in daylight, or something approximating daylight like
strobes, the results will be VERY blue.

Tungsten slide film was for product photography (think catalogs)
and maybe some portraiture.
