On Saturday night May 26, 2007 I made a dive near the bluffs in Pyramid Cove at San Clemente Island. During the dive I encountered a fish I had never seen before sitting on the sand. It was a Leiocottus hirundo (lavender sculpin).
I suspect many of y9ou have never seen this fish as well, so I want to share a few of the photos with you.
