My buddy Dennis drove up from SD for a 2 tank dive aboard the Island Time. It was a bit cloudy and grey when we left and it stayed the same until the end of the first dive. The sea was calm as a lake on the way over and the trip on the boat is super fast.

When we reached the Rock Quarry, the vis from the top did not look too good. Honestly, this site is just OK. It’s interesting to see Elk Kelp but there was not much else going on at this site. Anyway, we had a nice relaxing dive the vis opened up a bit moving toward the point area and also in the shallows. The deeper water vis was no good at all.

For the second dive we motored over to Fraggle Rock. This site was a lot better then the Quarry. We first went out to the off shore deeper rock reef to see if we could find anything interesting. There is a nice mixture of boulders and kelp so we tried to stay there for a while searching for critters and nudis. Then, we scooted across the sand to make our way to the inside rock reef.

Overall, it was a nice ˝ day of diving. The only Issue I had was that we did not see one Nudibranch the whole time we were down……DAMN!!!!!

Here are some highlights from the dive.
