I've seen photos of divers celebrating a milestone, such as dive #100 or #500 or s0, with a CapriSun drink pack. They're small, sealed and have little if any air space above the drink in the retort pouch. Hmmm...

Ted is probably asking about safety because one of the axioms that's drummed into student's heads by at least one agency is the fact that the "primary rule" of SCUBA Diving is to NOT HOLD YOUR BREATH UNDERWATER. You'd have to hold your breath momentarily to take a drink, nez pas?
