Not sure about the legality of it, but from a practical point I'm wondering why you'd want to use the scooter?

Abs are pretty easy to get with even basic freediving ability (such as mine!) and I'd think you'd have a tough time spotting abs while scootering and watching where you're going.

It would help you to get deeper, but then you have to drop the scooter, pop the ab and bag it, pick up the scooter etc. Plus, the scooter is probably going to be a little buoyant so it's going to want to float away from you when you stop.

Freediving with a DPV is a blast but I don't know if ab diving is the right application.
