Except not on an anchor line - I was at Castaic loaded with sudefed setting up an underwater course, barrels, stuff to saw etc. and luckily I had my husband/buddy near by. Sometimes I try to dive solo there to set up stuff but since the vis is so bad I had made up my mind not to do it that year. I had a bad cold a couple days before and a couple times under water felt that whole world is tumbling upside down thing. I held onto a line. Then moved slowly to the surface or just held on till it stopped. After a few minutes of this, I stood up while walking out on exit and fell over like I was drunk. My husband had to haul me out and walk me to the showers - it didn't go away for about 1/2 hour. So I can say that if it happens it will last a lot longer and get much worse if you don't stop when it first happens.
