I remember diving as a teen at Shaw's Cove and near the end of the dive upon a slow exit, in the sandy shallows I saw hundreds of these oriented just like the photo...

It is the only time I have ever seen sand dollars while diving, so it is interesting to note you saw them diving at those locations.

It is even more impressive you made it to the Cortes and Tanner Banks with cooperate weather! ;)
