Not a lot of people go there after the heat of summer. Plus the Malibu locals would probably be happy to have it as their private beach. Probably the REAL reasson.

Frankly I don't know why its being closed - seldom see a lifeguard after summer and the parking fee should cover any cost of cleaning the restrooms, etc. Plus the sheriff deputies have to patrol it anyway for graffitti prevention.

Saw eh same thing happening after Prop 13 passed - the State hit the peope where they noticed it and let teh waste continue. You get what you elect and vote for.
