CHAMBER CHALLENGE 2010 - UPDATE #10 - $40,175 (posted 4/22/10 - last updated 4/19)

We're over $40,000!!!

Years ago, when we first started the Chamber Challenge, we were wondering if we'd get it to $10,000. The last two years, we raised over $50,000 each year with the Challenge. Can we hit that number or - even better - set a new Challenge record this year? Time will tell and it's in your hands.

Specifically, it's a $1,000 donation from Hosam Elshenawai and Beach Cities Scuba that pushed us past $40K. Hosam and the Beach Cities guys & gals have been great supporters of the Chamber in the past and they'll also be present at Chamber Eve. (And they've got spots available at their tables.) We're delighted to welcome them back to the Challenge again this year.

We also welcome Robin McMunn to the ranks of the Silver donors with her $500 contribution. Robin had previously been part of the OCDiving.com Mini-Challenge and is giving directly this year.

In fact, this is a good time to remind those of you who participated in the Mini-Challenge last year (which alone raised over $7,000) that Debbie Karimoto said she doesn't have time to organize it this year and encourages you all to contribute (as Robin did) individually. So we'd love to hear from you because that's a big chunk of change for us to replace.

As far as we know, Robin's the first one to contribute individually. And we're happy to tag your participation with OCDiving.com (as we did with Robin's). Just let us know. But more importantly . . . please donate to support your Chamber.

So . . . who's next? Who will help push us part $41,000?
