It warmed up one degree at Buchanan's Reef today, climbing to 51.
Mild surface current, 25' vis.

Phil intentionally dropped anchor in 70' in sand just off the reef. We found a never-ending array of nudibranchs at the interface, more than we've seen in other spots. Again, blue and vermilion rockfish were plentiful. There was so much invert life to see that we practically ignored the baitballs and other fishy goings-on.

For cold-water nudi hunters, this was paradise.

We've been waiting for years to find Doriopsilla albopunctata laying eggs.

Another Polycera tricolor (one of four seen today).

It wouldn't be nudi roll call without Hermissenda crassicornis and Triopha catalinae.
