I guess that's my point. It's your choice. Which is totally fine. But it's not the same thing as "undiveable". And the problem is that people who may have reservations on a larger boat or at Point Lobos where they can go diving often interpret your "Weather isn't meeting my fairly specific requirements" as "Nobody should be going diving".

Not everyone has the luxury of being able to go diving tomorrow if the weather lays down, not everyone is diving from a Whaler, not everybody takes macro pictures. But lots of people have weather anxiety and read internet forums for advice. 95% of the time in my experience the right thing to do if you want to go diving is to go look. Even if it's a long drive, even if the forecast sounds ominous. Especially if you're got some kind of commitment to a charter operator, buddy, instructor, etc.
