The next General Meeting will be tonight, Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Round Table Pizza, 4330 Redondo Beach Blvd.
(just east of Hawthorne Blvd. in the Northpoint/CVS Shopping Center) in Torrance. Go to http://seadivers.org/meetings.htm for a map.

May 1. Ken Sizemore will present a program (including a movie) about the last Seadiver King Harbor Cleanup in Redondo Beach http://articles.latimes.com/1993-10-22/local/me-48510_1_king-harbor-cleanup in 1993. He will also relate stories about TSD Club history in the 1980s and 1990s.

June 5. Jesse Rosas will give a presentation about the Los Angeles County Rocks, Rips and Reefs (3Rs) program. It is a series of sessions designed to orient new and update experienced divers to site specific shore based diving conditions and safe practices, and is conducted by certified LA County Scuba Instructors. It used to be called the Advanced Diver Program or ADP and has been training divers for decades. Click on http://www.lacountyscuba.com/3rs-abt.htm for more information about this program.

July 3. There will be a General Meeting but without an invited speaker. Have a happy Fourth of July holiday.

August 7. Don Mueller will present a program about diving in New Zealand and Hawaii. Don is an icon of South Bay diving, going out regularly on his custom made boat designed for comfortable diving. Don and Kathy also have been leading The Sea Diver reunions http://www.seadiversparty.org/.

September 4. There will be a General Meeting but without an invited speaker. Have a happy Labor Day holiday.

October 2. Ron Wike will present a program about diving in the Philippines and/or Little Cayman.

November 6. Jonathan Blake will present a program about either 1) the Philippines Visaya Islands featuring nearly 150 species or 2) a documentary about "Muck Diving" the Lembeh Straits of Indonesia featuring giant octopus, Mimic Octopus, Wonderpus, Cuttlefish, Frogfish, and a rare species of Scorpion Fish that walks on its pectoral fins. At the meeting, the audience will pick which show they would prefer to see.
