I am planning to take a couple of days off around Memorial day weekend and visit the bay area. I'll be driving south and have a day with no prior engagements.

I am thinking of diving (boat dive; 2/3 dives). Channel Islands is one destination.

My questions are:
1. Apart from Channel Islands are there other recommended dive spots?
2. Any recommendation about dive operators?
3. Anything else you'd like to add?
