This is a bad idea, any commercial take of Abalone should be off the table. Perhaps the take of 1 daily, with a max of 20 per year for sport divers would be sustainable, but unrealistic, I think they should remain protected for now. There is talk of re opening Abalone, and yet I cannot take bugs off Laguna, which remains a sustainable population, this is crazy talk and if the enviro nuts continue to drive these decisions instead of people actually out there to see the populations of game, we are in trouble. I fully support the new decisions re Bass, 5 daily in any combination, and 14 " size limit. This is what should have been done with other species instead of the blanket closures of MLPA.
