Those are nice big bugs... It reminds me.
Probably about 20 years ago, I recalled mention that there were nice bugs off of Topanga .. So I had to try....
It was a beach dive guessing game. I mean, that's the mouth of a canyon with a major creek. Where are there supposed to be rocks?
I went a bit north... off shore a ways. Looked around in the 1 to 2 foot vis for a tank, hoping to get lucky. Nada.
I always wondered if there was any truth to the story.
