Okay, you dragged it out of me. First, Margaret "corrupted" me into purchasing a Nikon 105mm lens. :) Then Phil piled on a Kenko 1.4 teleconverter to test with my 60 & 105.

Results so far: The Nikon 60mm f/2.8G ED lens doesn't like the teleconverter; it usually searches forever, reaching focus almost at random. However, the older, Nikon 60mm f/2.8D works beautifully with the Kenko 1.4 teleconverter, which is what Phil is shooting now. He also uses the teleconverter with the Tamron 90mm, and it works very well.

Topside, the 105 seems ok coupled with the teleconverter; that would give me the equivalent of 147mm. Avoiding camera movement UW with that set-up should be a challenge!
