I'm using a 60mm lens with a 1.4 teleconverter, and a +10 diopter for REALLY close macro. The crane is a lousy site for nudi photography, but they can be found on the rocks to the south.
One of the eels is always in the retacular extrusion at the highest point at the west end. The other hides inside the crane base. I saw them both out once mating or fighting, I'm not sure which. They were coiled together in mid-water and spinning fast. I backed away from all those spinning fangs.
The best sites for nudibranchs are Buchanan's and Hawthorne Reef.
