In spite of missing half the year because of a nasty surf injury, Kevin Lee was named Adventurer of the Year 2013 by the Adventurers’ Club of Los Angeles. Club members include former astronauts, deep sea explorers, scientists and several members who have climbed the World’s highest peaks. One even holds the record for climbing Mt. Everest twenty-one times. Even through all the glory and accomplishments of its members, they voted for Kevin because of his adventurous spirit, his travels and for diving in all seven continents. I can say I knew him when.
