Come enjoy some great diving at the Pinnacles of San Miguel Island next Friday and Saturday August 22-23 aboard the Peace. We were there on July 18-19 because the Navy did not allow us to go to Begg Rock. The water most places was in the low 60s, and only made it down to 58ºF very deep at some of the pinnacles.here is a mini El Niño that is making the normally very cold water at San Miguel very comfortably warm, so this is a rare opportunity to dive the pinnacles when they are not in the high 40s down deep. This is always a great time of year to go to San Miguel since you never know what you will see. In 2001 we got to observer Blue Whales mating. You can see photos from our July trip here and Walter Marti's great video here.

The goal of this trip is to dive as many of the fantastic pinnacles as possible like Richarson Rock, Wilson Rock, Boomerang, Heebie-jeebie, and Egg Rock. These pinnacles all are always incredibly lush with invertebrate life, and at times thick with schools of fish. They are some of the best dives you may ever make. Boarding on the Peace begins at 8PM on Thursday evening August 21 and the boat departs promptly at Midnight. We should be back at the dock by around 6PM on Saturday evening.

If you would like to go on the trip you can sign up online at the Sea Divers web page. Then email Suzanne or call here at (626) 221-1119 with your bunk preferences since all bunks are reserved.
