Catalina Divers Supply, better known as the air truck at Casino Point on Catalina, has had a great reputation for taking care of divers for numerous years.They sell items from their air truck as well as rent scuba gear. They also pay rent to the Catalina Island Company for their space at Casino Point. But get this, Catalina Island Company has now opened a little cart with an umbrella and they are selling the same items as the air truck and their cart is located where the old lockers used to be at Casino Point. In other words, Catalina Island Company (landlord) is in direct competition with Catalina Divers Supply air truck (rentors). How you like to be a restaurant owner and pay rent and have your landlord open up a hot dog stand right in front of your front door of the restaurant ? I recommend we all BOYCOTT the Catalina Island cart and tell them to go away as we do not appreciate it.
