Subsequent work done on Pacific Coast Highway (widening & shoring) covered most of the site where M.A.C. was burned. Some years back at an extreme low tide ther were some iron fastenings and drifts exposed and the belief was that they were the mortal remains of the ship. This was confirmed by Harold Huycke in conversations later.
