I've lugged my easel down that hill many times and sketched and painted that scene from the beach.
It's not what I would consider a "dive spot", although Steve Wheeler and I took my boat out of Bodega Bay once to go up the coast exploring. We did stop there on the way back and decided to jump in to see, it was a calm day. It's shallow way out and not much but a lot of sand with a few rocks jutting up and a lot of sea weed and kelp scraps littering the bottom. This would be one of those perpetual minestrone soup spots.
But it does make for a beautiful topside scene which we are blessed to have so much of up here on the North Coast.
