I remember as an Open Water student my instructor said there wasn't much to see below sixty feet as all the life was near the surface. Apparently he had never traveled north. I kept thinking how much I was missing by not diving doubles or a rebreather in a place like that. The deeper I went, the better the visibility and more colorful life I saw.
