The next General Meeting will be Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 7 p.m. at Round Table Pizza, 4330 Redondo Beach Blvd. (just east of Hawthorne Blvd. in the Northpoint/CVS Shopping Center) Torrance. Go to http://seadivers.org/meetings.htm for a map. Meetings are free and visitors are especially welcome to attend.

March 6. Don and Cathy Mueller recently spent three weeks in Indonesia. The highlight of their trip was 10 days on the luxury live aboard dive boat Damai 2. They dove the islands of Raja Ampat where spectacular marine life was found and photographed. Everything from huge manta rays and giant clams down to macro subjects including pygmy sea horses and many forms of nudibranchs were found. They will present a video showing the highlights of this trip. For a custom and very interesting summary video describing the program to be presented, go to https://vimeo.com/album/4974614/video/255131635.

April 3. Kathy Kalohi, a Sea Diver member since 1983, will be showing her favorite specimens from shell collecting trips ranging from Vancouver Island to La Bufadora. What started as a hobby has become a naturalist and semi-scientific adventure!

May 1. Fletcher and John Forbes will present a program about their diving trip to the Maldives along with some exploring of Sri Lanka. Their underwater images on past trips were amazing so we are in for a treat.

June 5. Dr. Randy Harwood will present a show "New Guinea - Raja Ampat and Papua New Guinea" on his multiple trips to Papua New Guinea and one to Raja Ampat. In addition to fantastic underwater images, there will also be a fair amount of culture and story telling shots of the Sepik River basin and the Highlands of PNG along with underwater shots from both. See http://www.RKH-Photography.com for some of the incredible photographs captured by Randy worldwide.
