Two-and-a-half weeks to go. Making progress, but still have a ways to go.

You’ll note some of the boats are SOLD OUT. (We’ve also learned that Sundiver will not be available for the event.) If you’re looking for a fast non-sponsored boat, give some thought to Sundiver Express (sign up through the website). If you’d rather dive a sponsored boat, Asante is under SSA (contact the store) and the Pacific Star is under Dive ‘N Surf (sign up through the website).

Chamber Eve tables are filling if not already SOLD OUT. Some tables are fairly open but a number only have 1-3 seats left. We may be doing some consolidation next week of those tables that are filling slowly as some groups who have already filled their tables would like more seats.

The V.G.D. packages - Very Generous Diver - are moving along (kudos to Eco Dive Center as well as Beach Cities Scuba for getting most of their Eve diners to also do the V.G.D.). Don’t forget that the V.G.D. gets you early access to the Aquarium, snacks ahead of the main meal, free parking, a free Ch-Eve t-shirt, and - best of all - two additional Grand Prize raffle tickets (which can NOT be purchased anywhere else).

If you’ve already signed up for Chamber Eve and would like to add a V.G.D. package, either call us at 310/652-4990 or e-mail us at chamberday@aol.com and we’ll get you squared away.

Also, if you missed the mailing we sent out last week, NO CHICKEN THIS YEAR. The main (regular) meal will be Braised Beef Short Ribs. The vegetarian/vegan option is a Tri-Color Quinoa Stuffed Pepper. And yes, everything is gluten-free (with the exception of the bread and perhaps a salad dressing).

BTW, we’ve also started mailing out tickets. If you signed up through the website for Chamber Day, the Flying Dutchman, or Chamber Eve, you should be getting a letter from us with all the info you need as well as actual tickets. If you signed up prior to April 10, you should get your letter by Monday. Everyone else, we send them out a day or two after you sign up on the website. (If you’ve signed up directly through a store or club, we will send those tickets to them in a week or so and they will distribute to you.)
