What a brave new world. Since we last updated a mere two weeks ago, things have gone sort of topsy-turvy. As it relates specifically to Chamber Day, we’ve made it a totally virtual event. Folding daytime boat divers into the Flying Dutchman, and changing Chamber Eve to a virtual event with table sponsors and raffle tix (we hope to create a live stream for May 6) but now we’ll give you a Chamber Eve t-shirt instead of a dinner.

It’s also important to emphasize that the critical role our Chamber continues to play. While we are under “Safer at Home” orders, even as this update is being written, our Chamber is still operational and ready to respond should someone be diving and something goes wrong. The COVID-19 pandemic does not diminish the important role our Chamber plays as a diving community safety net.

COVID-19 also does not diminish the need to keep our Chamber fully funded. That might be even more difficult given the current nature of things so we’re asking those of you who can, to dig maybe even a little deeper than you would normally. Give an extra $100 to the Challenge, or sign up for our virtual dinner AND the Dutchman or whatever. Everything helps.

Our Chamber is a vital safety net for the SoCal diving community. Your support keeps it strong. So get involved with one or more aspects of Chamber Day 2020. The direct link to our sign-up page is: https://dornsife.usc.edu/chamberday/signup-link/.
