Took advantage of the somewhat calmer conditions to check on the local lobster. Jim and I dove a site near the redondo artificial reef, deep water just north of the canyon, hoping for acceptable conditions. The lobsters were certainly out, we pretty quickly found a pile of shorts sheltering behind a rock, more or less in the open, but the bottom was covered in fresh silt. Just the activity of the lobster was making a bit of a cloud, and the anchor chain and I pretty much sent everything to zero. We had been stuck indoors long enough to make a second dive, but found similar conditions and got one bug each.

very odd conditions. hope it clears up, maybe rocky reef is better.

we also saw our old friend Steve sanford on the Danny C, in the harbor after a day at the chevron moorings.
