Santa Claus Lane

You might never know it, but just offshore from Santa Claus Lane (or where it used to be for so many years), a bit north of Carpenteria, is one of the biggest reef areas in California. It used to be known to the abalone divers as The Bank. They thought the area could never run out of abalone and they used to say that they were "going to the bank". Obviously it could be fished out and it was. Now though, it is a great place for the sport diver. A lot of life there is recovering well. It is a bit isolated, but accessable from kayak or boat. Even swimming brings a diver to extensive reef area.

Sorry, but this page is still suiting up some. It will be completed soon.

Come back in a couple weeks and this will all be done.
