Religion and Science

What if science and religion were found to lead to the same place?

Religion is easier. The first lesson of religion is Faith. The second lesson, at least in terms of Christian Philosophy, is Love.

Can those same lessons be found in Science?

Well, 95% of this book is an examination of science. It starts with genetics and progresses to a study of learned survival strategies, called Moralities, that are essential to human existance. The primary human survival strategy is cooperation. Whatever helps humans cooperate, helps them survive. The best basis for cooperation is a moral system based on love.

In a nutshell, the conclusion of the science is that Faith is really an expression of the most basic and important of all human survival strategies. It is our most basic instinct to survive. Religion is an overlay upon it. This also says that Love is the best and perhaps only strategy that will take us to the future. A people with faith can survive, but it will take love for them to grow to their future. This was not written about religion or philosophy, this is written about genetics.

You say to explain yourself. Well, read the science. It doesn't start with anything related to religion. It starts with genetics and disease and progressed to a study of human survival strategies. It led to an understanding of humans that asks for an understanding of God. The explanations are there. At the end of the book, the conclusions from the science are used to describe humans and human concepts of God. It is to say what humans are and what will make their future. What does a knowledge of humans say about God? I think you would find it quite surprising. First though, you must learn about humans. You can start here.
