Santa Monica Bay is a big and special place. I can only imagine what it might have been like before
humans got there. Probably the beaches were covered with birds and pinnipeds. It might
have been a nesting ground for turtles.
It is mostly sand, which generally doesn't offer the greatest diving, but actually there is a lot
to see and a lot of man made artifacts that pique our curiosity and attract a variety of sea life.
There is the very popular diving of Redondo where divers can swim to the top of an undersea
canyon. All kinds of local life and visiting exotics life can be found there.
