You're kinda half right. Trump bought the Ocean Trails golf course, now the Trump National Golf Club, a mile or so east of Marineland:

Another company owns the old Marineland site and is going to develop it into a major resort hotel with a 10-hole course. Public access to the beach will be allowed when it is completed. Here's a previous post giving an account of the Rancho PV council meeting where the project was discussed:
