Replace the cam buckle with a stainless steel one. There is way too much stress on a single plastic cam buckle supporting the weight of a tank and I don't understand why the bc manufactureres haven't done away with this practice.
Better yet get a back plate & wings with a single tank adapter, or some of them now have it where you can thread the strap right through the plate. Every plate I've ever seen had 2 tank straps which makes more sense.
