For a while I thought I was having problems with my mask sealing over my mustache, because it would quickly fill with water. It turned out the problem was a cracked frame. Because I abuse my gear, the frames would almost always crack in under a year. The cracks can be very small, but they allow water to leak around the glass.
I have since gone to using a frameless mask (Oceanic Shadow or Scubapro Frameless). My Oceanic Shadow mask has proven extremely reliable, and the occasional very slow leak at my mustache is not a problem.
