I rented my equipment from a well known dive shop in Long Beach- at the boat the next day, I was told the regulator was broken. Fortunately an instructor from the same dive shop was on the charter and he had a spare regulator. During one dive, however, when the tank gauge read 700 psi, it seemed I couldn't get enough air- I thought I was hyperventilating- but possibily the regulator wasn't delivering properly at this "low" pressure?
