Last I recall reading wasn't one of those recent deaths was due to a heart attack. If that's the case hard to see how his being solo killed him.
What good is diving with a buddy if they don't know what to do in an emergency?
What's worse, two beginning divers with only a couple dives logged, or someone with rescue and self rescue training diving solo?
Besides, how are they to know just who you are to issue the citation? Are they following you back to your car to get your ID for verification? If that's the case they can help haul some gear up the steps.
