Not to rain on your parade . . . but bear in mind that purple coral is a protected species at Farnsworth (can't take it or collect it - not even already-broken pieces) and since trying to pull up the tangled nets will probably result in breaking off some of the purple coral, you might find you need special permits, permission from the state, etc., etc. Probably not just as simple as "Let's go out and pull up the nets." Noble thought, though.
