Deep Stops Beneficial or not?

I am planning to dive the Moody and the Yukon wrecks someday soon(on different days) they are 140' and 100' max depth dives respectively. I plan to stay within the NDL limits but I want to have backup plans in case I am forced into deco 2-10 minutes lets says. I haven't decided which tables to use yet or whether any deep stops should be added. Some say that deep stops help quicken decompression but I would like to ask why that is? It would seem logical that if I'm at 100' and I slowly(30' per minute) ascended to 15' and did my stop there that I would have less loading then if I stopped for 2 minutes at 50' and continued to load N2 and then ascended to 15' for the stop.

Thanks in advance for any and all opinions on the subject.

Steve
