In all honesty we were all pretty ambivalnet about getting in the water. We had a team discussion about it and it wasn't until Tim found a pinnacle that matched the exact description of the survivors account did we decide to go in..

We were in content with USCG, the conditions were very favorable, we had a strong team in place, we had the correct gases, and we believed that the family would have wanted us to try...

I spoke to the parents, and the intangible that ALWAYS get's lost in these discussions is that there are families involved.. We, all too often hear, that it is the diver's right to kill themselves, they knew the risks, blah, blah, blah...

But if more people would understand that there are families that are effected, the cowboy sh*t would stop...

If anyone has the time or inclination go back and get Ron Fuller's wife's post and feel the pain that accompanies a errant mistake...

15 in 15 months, why spend so much time distinguishing the results and look at the common factors????
