I'm not an accountant, but I always thought that you needed to know expenses, not just income, to get an accurate financial picture of an entity. Telling us that PADI grosses $47 million a year -- without telling us whether expenses are $35 million, $46.5 million, or $48 million -- doesn't tell us much about PADI (although it does say something about the nature of your argument).

Here's a question. The YMCA scuba program has been around for a long time. At one time (I don't know about now), it had a reputation for being rigorous and thorough. And, obviously, the YMCA did not have the "evil" commercial overtones of PADI. If there is such a demand for rigorous scuba instruction, why isn't YMCA the dominant scuba training agency?
