thanx! for your tips, i appreciate them.

the one thing, though, (and please bear w/me
if i'm not so imaginative), but i'd have to
see someone in action w/the float going over
dry, sharp rocks before hitting the waters edge.

i checked the tides table the day before which
predicted 0.5ft low tide--and it was right!
we had to climb over some dry, sharp rocks
before hitting the slippery ones at the edge.

so, i'll keep your float idea in mind, but
i'm guessing it's best to use it during high
tide...(??).

as for the wire cutters, that's fine and dandy,
but i STILL would not have gotten that close to
the poor thing. = ; ) oh, well...

have a good one.

kelphead.
