a passenger plane crashing into a tall building, seemingly an aviation accident, followed by a second plane doing the same thing, seemingly a planned attack, followed by another plane crashing into a government building in D.C., all about 200 miles from Norfolk, would not necessarily cause CINCLANT to scramble all their boats and/or Carriers just out of safety or fear of being caught in port. maybe and maybe not. at least thats not how it was billed out.
at FMF we didnt practice Naval tactics. i wouldnt know much about that. and i definetly wasnt a pilot, so i wouldnt know about that either. we affectionately called them zoomies, by the way.
