You dramatize too much to make an unneccesary point. The 7' hose is NOT coiled around the neck, it is draped across the BACK of the neck and is less an entanglement hazard than your "short" hose that sticks unsafely out or up from your regulator. The longer hoses allow the hose to be routed DOWN and not OUT so the entanglement hazard is lessened.
Please do the homework before trying to add in unneeded side comments that are inaccurate. The long hose is NEVER coiled except in the regulator bag and does not even make one complete circuit around the neck.
