I remember reading an article in the LA Times more than a year ago about how "they" were dumping sand on top of a large area in the S.M. Bay that was contaminated with DDT. I haven't heard anything about the results of their efforts and was wondering if anyone here knows anything about the contamination, where those areas are, and how it affects lobsters and fish in our area.
The topic came up at my AOW class yesterday, but no one seems to know any answers. Someone said that they definitely wouldn't eat the seafood from around here.
Any thoughts, or hard evidence?
