I posted this also under the recent "spam" thread, but was afraid it would get lost. I was just wondering how you guys feel about email going to dive shop owners and/or dive club presidents. Not from a list, but as individual emails. (The list of names was not bought or even stored, because it was a solitary mailing.) Do you still consider it unwanted spam? I ask truly wanting sincere responses, because I don't want to offend anyone by sending mail they hate - that doesn't do me or my company any good. I will say that of the few I've sent to these people, I've gotten really nice responses and requests for brochures. I just wanted a few more opinions on the matter. That's why I'm lurking here - trying to see what divers want to make our business better. (By the way, our business is a charter and the mail was giving info on club/store discounts for groups. I won't mention the name because that REALLY seems like spam.)

Thanks,
Amanda Hardy
