George--I thought I'd actually answer your questions rather than go on a rant like many of the others have. Iron Eagle is docked in Long Beach. Her multiday trips usually involve San Clemente or Santa Barbara Islands as well as the front or back side of Catalina. As to the boat, she's an old workhorse, but one of the most spacious boats I've been on down here. Great food, hot tub and a nice, helpful crew. I've NEVER had anglers on board during a dive trip -- although they do run fishing charters, the keep those separate from the dive charters as far as I've seen. They seem to charter more out-of-state divers than the other boats I've been on and those folks always seem to be having a good time. Well, that's it for my first-hand experience on her. What ever boat you choose, you'll have as good a time as you make up your mind to have.
